Good  morning Ladies and gentlemen. Let's say big thanks for Our Lord cause this blessed life we have. now im standing here, im going to deliver my speech for you all under the title violence against woman and children

Did you ever read some newspaper or watch in tv about a husband killed and mutilationed his wife and his children in belu? Or even a ‘famous’ news about indonesian maid who worked at malaysia, nirmala bonat who was abused by her boss? Thats all just a little bit examples of the problem called violence against woman and children. So extreme, right?

Ladies and gentlemen

Before we talk more about this problem. We have to know what is ‘violence against woman and children’ first. It is an act that hurt woman/children phisically and mentally and violete woman/childrean’s human right. 

As we know, this problem isnt a new problem. It has been happening since the past, even until now.

For your information, based on data from woman and children ministry in indonesia, on 2012 there were more than 18.000 cases. Even in woman and children national commision, there were 119.000 cases recorded in a year. It’s suitable to get the word w.o.w wow! And thats just the part on cases which knew and recorded by government. There are more many cases that uncounted and reported by the victims. It seems like an ice mountain in sea, which look small in the top but there are more big ice stand below. Thats extremly bad problem.

Ladies and gentlemen

Some people says, the government fail to minimize this problem. But dont you know? Government already made many rules to organize this problem. Besides that, there are special national commition to minimize violence against woman and children.

This is a big question here. Why it can happen and increasing day by day in this time when there are many programme from government to minimize this problem? Thats all back to our selves. We dont aware about that problem and dont want to involved in this case with police or other the authorities.

So what can we do? As a student, we can not just watching. We can start to minimize it with a simple action like promote to other about the danger of violence against woman and children and tell it to the authorities if it happen. So the case can be addressed and no more violance again. Besides that, we as a woman have to realize that we’re same with man. Remind that there are emansipation of woman. We’re not barbie that can play as they want. We also have our right to still keep life.
